Default rash over extremities

7-year-old girl develops a rash over both of her lower extremities 2 weeks after recovering from gastroenteritis. Examination reveals hemorrhagic bullae on the insides of her cheeks, but no splenomegaly. A CBC shows:

Leukocyte count: 6,800/mm3
Hemoglobin: 14.7 g/dL
Hematocrit: 44%
Platelet count: 58,000/mm3

Which of the following should be tested for?
  • A. Vitamin K deficiency
  • B. Schistocytes
  • C. Antiplatelet antibodies
  • D. Factor VIII deficiency
  • E. Cold agglutinins

It could be a case of ITP, so I go for C. Antiplatelet antibodies
Clues:
Lack of Splenomegaly
Only Thrombocytopenia
After Viral infection
