If you already extend your period for 3 more months, this second time you will have to pay the exam again, wich means paying again $780.
No money will be refound to you.
By the way, 300 is what in 2 digit score scale??????

Default I decided not to take exam!

Now, I did UW 2 times, FA, Kaplan lecture notes , videos .

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE MY SCORE , AND WHAT WILL BE THE TIME NEEDED FOR IT.

What q bank to do next, what kind of revision to do, buying RR goljan , usmle rx, kaplan q banks; what do you think ?

Any advise guys, I am very disappointed with this situation.

THANKS

You could try DIT (Doctors in Training).

If you have more than month then go for kaplan qbank.
and concentrate more on weak subjects and keep revising FA and UW.

Default goljan

u should also spend time and do the 5 day goljan audio along with his transcribed notes...many uworld topics come from there.

Dextrocardia : Do you have any experience with DIT, is it good ?

jaimin: Definitely I will go for kaplan and FA but UW notes or qbank because I did the q bank 2 times

rahul: do you think is better the audio with the transcripts vs Rapid review book

What do you think usmlerx

kaplan qbank + uw is enough ,no need to go for usmle rx ..
It is better if u keep revising wrong and marked questions from uw along with FA.

Default goljan

RR is overkill...it is a good book but it is used for both step 1 and 2. goljan audio is enough for step 1. following along with the transcribed notes makes it easier to understand.

what you should do is listen to the audio along with the notes. after you are done, re-read the notes, and then the next day, start with day 2. its good to listen to goljan audio few times for sure.

Default Hi

I would not do it, I know you will lose your money but it is better than getting low scores. Just my opinion, myself got 380 on NBME 6 and cancelled my exam and lost money of course.

Good luck!!!

What do you think usmlerx
With DIT you basically have the First Aid read to you but you're quizzed every few pages to make sure you really know the material. It helped me get through the First Aid.

I've also listened to Goljan audio and I would say that it is definitely worth listening to. I've learned a lot about pathology from this guy. It's pretty much all path though so you won't get into any of the other subjects.

Default Thanks guys !

So with the advise that I received from you guys I will do as follows :
- Review FA again while doing kaplan qbank and at the end of it I will do wrong and marked question.
- At the same time I will listen goljan audios while reading the transcript and after that reread that chapter and the next day I will do the same thing with the next chapter.
- Probably I will do DIT at the end of the day
- And of course I will do UW
so now I will let you known guys my progress but one more thing, How can I test my progress to see If I am ready for the exam because I already did the NBME that I said in the previous post and UWSA1.
What will be a good predictor ? what about nbme 6 or 3 or UWSA2

I agree

Look DR99.....I have been on the usmle forums....I have read alot of experiences...haven't given my exam yet......

and again and again...the point made is........it doesn't matter about the number of reads.....or even alot of sources....

what matters is ...............understanding the material.....and how to do that.....

try understanding each topic in FA....know it's background......see how Uworld qs are framed.....

forget about number of reads...time reqiuired and stufff.....ths is what I think,,,,

Best of luck...i will be praying for you. remember me in your prayers as well

nbme predict well and gives u performance table
which subjects u were having low score in it (re read it and concentrate on ur weak area ) if u can only post ur performance table in nbme
many member will see ur week area and tell u what to read to raise ur score in these weak area
good luck
