Question How much histology do we need to know for step 1 ?

Hi guys,

I wonder how much histology do we need to know for step 1 ? I tried to read through Kaplan lecture notes together with the lectures but that seems very rapid review of the subject with no much details. On the other hand I tried larger texts but they seem too much too for the time available.

So are Kaplan Step 1 Lecture notes enough and will keep me secure ? or Do I need to spend some more time with this subject ?

Thanks

I also have the same question. Are KLN good for histo. In this poll it shows that High Yield is the best book
http://www.usmle-forums.com/usmle-st...-step-1-a.html

But HY is also a bigger book and isn't histo a low yield subject. So cant we just get it done quickly through KLN without any videos? I don't think we need any bigger book for that.
Thanks

Histology is a subject that cannot be found in one section of a book.you will come across clinically important histology while going through diff systems.specially when going through first aid and questions.

for now Kaplan should be enough.

Default Here...

They mention HY as a good source. I have the intention of giving it just a quick read...

And this is a place of what it seems a good source of histology:

I hope it can help you in some way

Happy new year!!!
