Default does score report changes affect how we should use nbmes, uworld to predict what we'll GET?

Since the new "lower" two digit rule is taking place, I was wondering, does the way we should use nbmes and uworld to predict what we'll get change too?

Before I used to aim for a high 3 digit score to get a "HIGH 99". Looks like now I will have to aim for nothing but a "99" and whatever crazy 3 digit score is associated with it (300?) lol

does that mean that a 300, will also be easier to get? or will it as difficult as trying to get a 300 before October 1st? Thats not cool, no one will look at 3 digits unless the president makes an announcement stating so lol

No i dont think they will lower the level of exam ,may be go higher.
They have just changed 2 digit scores, with keeping situation and scores of future in mind.

I just hope the world/residency programs realize that getting an 80 in present times is equivalent of getting a 90 back in the day. Also that getting an 85+ is equivalent of getting a 99 back in the day

As was reported previously, the USMLE program has begun the process of eliminating the reporting of results on the 2-digit score scale to parties other than the examinee and any state licensing authority to which the examinee sends results.

Wait, that means residency programs won't see the 2 digit score because Residency programs ARE NOT state licensing authoritys correct? State licensing authorities are dealt with only after residency, when you want to practice somewhere?

True, residency programs will not get 2 digit score, written on the site, and confirmed on call with them today.

As far as I understand, you guys - and eventually myself, when I take the exam - must use the three-digit score for comparison. Ignore the two-digit score.

Show Teeth 99 is HISTORY now!

Man forget about 99s. Its gone....we will find it in the history books .
Now maybe an 85+ or an 80+ plus is equivalent to the HISTORICAL 99.....but it does not matter.
The programs talk about 3 digit and we should too. If you get a good 3 digit score above the mean, then you are a good candidate for residency and that's what matters the most!
