on the previous scale 228 = 98

and regarding is it still good ?? it depends on what u intend to apply for ,

but generally speaking it's a good score .

Oh, this is confusing. Does anyone know which score would be enough for pediatrics or surgery with the new system?

ur score is enough for both , but u have to fortify ur CV with a good

USCE + US LORs + research ( if u could )

NB: changing the scoring system for the 2 digits wont change the value

of the tree digits , from the experience that i got from previuos guys who

matched , no matter what is the speciality u r applying for , the

following apply :

< 210 => not good score

< 220 => Border line

< 230 => Good score

< 250 => very good score

< 280 => you are Genius

> 280 => you are ONE OF A KIND .

Can you please explain to me how are exam is marked. I just fail to understand that. We have 322 questions and so does that mean a 222 means that we had 100 questions wrong? Please explain this to me. Also, when do we get our results and which site do we use to check.

well no one knows how the 2 digit score is extracted from the 3 digit score !!!

as for the 3 digits score all i know is :

1- there is 322 mcqs but not all of them count equally for eg :

a question can count zero , other question can count 2 ( not 1 )

2- there is from 5 % - 10 % questions in each exam that dont count in ur

overall score ( count zero ) so if u got all of these qs wrong ur score

wont be less .

3- the three digit score is all that matters now , so if u guys know

old graduates (early 90s ) ask them about the trend to get 99 at that

time they will tell u that it was a precious thing to get 99 not

commonly every body gets 99 , so this is not the first time to change

the relationship bet 2 and 3 digits score , actually i worry now much

about how the program directors will filter the applicants from now on

i mean the can put a filter for eg the min 220 , some one with 219 will

be filtered , just to think that this could happen to some one gives me

the creeps

the exam on 11/oct , many told me thats normal , others even told me

that's a good karma . i hope we both get a high score . may god repay

us well for our hard work .
