Default Recent Scores

Some of my friends got their step 1 score today.
The score of one of them is 239/85.
What is the change with the scoring system ?
Can anyone tell clearly what would be the impact of this change in next year match ?

The 2 digit scoring system has changed with effect from examinations written after oct 1 ,2011....residency progs require only three digit score so dont bother abt this change...its just a step in eliminating the two digit scores in future
