Default Hypercalcemia

A 60-year-old woman had a routine annual physical examination and was found to have hypercalcemia. Her physical exam and other laboratory test results were all normal. She has a history of renal stones. Which of the following is the most likely cause of the hypercalcemia?

A. I guess it is the hyperparathyroidism progressing into benign parathyroid adenoma.

yeah you're right it could be c. Increase in PTH increases serum calcium but decreases serum phosphate. Increase in Vitamin D increases serum calcium, as well as serum phosphate.

I'm not 100 percent sure. What is the best answer?
