Still haven't done psychology BUT I do remember that bereavement occurse due to a loss of loved one (human or animal)

And adjustment would be with a divorce, getting fired, moving to a new city and so on. And in adjustment it doesn't have to be depression and lack of interest as the symptom, it can present as anxiety also.
