Default Pt undergoing liver transplantation

Lorazepam can be safely used in a pt as preanesthetic medication undergoing liver transplantation without fear of excessive cns depression because the drug is..

1) excreted in unchanged form
2)actively secreted into GIT
3)conjugated extrahepatically
4)reversible by nalaxone
5)a selective anxiolytic devoid of severe cns depression

Correct Answer correct answer

3) conjugated extrahepatically

you are almost correct BUT lorazepam is not excreted in unchanged form

actually it is metabolized in lungs by glucoronidation(phase II metabolic biotransformation)....
