Question Advice for Micro/Immun.

Hi guys,

is FA only sufficient for micro & immune?or should i read Kaplan also?
and which subjects should be annotated into FA?

I am doing USMLErx for immuno and micro and it is pretty good. In other words, if you are able to comprehend immuno and micro from FA without explanations, then yes it is sufficient.

I did kaplan videos for immuno and micro and it was alright.

For Micro : I used kaplan LN and videos, and then wrote notes onto FA. There's alot more in the LN's that aren't, in FA. Esp G-Neg bugs.
Oh and I did a quick read of Microbiology made ridiculously simple. Helped get the basics, like structure etc. I used it only for gram positive. FA is a good review tool for micro HY bugs.

in my exam every q frm micro and immuno was from firstaid.

Got a lot of weird immuno/microbiology questions definitely not included in FA. Maybe they were experimental. Almost got a star in this category.

I really liked kaplan's immune
micro not so much, I'd recommend CMMRS

Kaplan is great for immuno.
MMRS is fine for microbio.

it is boring to kaplan micro. it took 7days to read the theory part alone excluding virology and misc. should i skip and jump to fa. coz i am taking my exams in 2 months time. i dunno if kaplan is micro is really that useful ??
