Minimum books to read to get 240

Friends, am a graduate passed 2010, am preparing for step 1 since 1 yr now,
too be honest its on off like not hardcore prep, ie, avg 4 hrs per day of prep lets say.

I am done with 1 read and 1 revision of Kaplan notes, half way thru FA.
Goljan RR I have done 7 months back which now I feel like I literally don't remember anything of it.

I started UWORLD 20 days back n its going like 30 quest per day, I really got pissed off..

Yesterday I took UW self assessment 1 and i got 3 digit score of 160 , now i feel really tensed n depressed and don't even know where 2 start.

I want 2 Know SHOULD i read GOLJAN RR again or Will FA, UW, Goljan audio notes 150 pgs be sufficient to get a good score..

My exam date is 30th December.

I would really appreciate it, if anybody could guide me, Seriously my whole life is dependent on this exam..

just keep listining to audio lectures...read FA daily...and keep rewising UW...THATS IT!

First, i dont see your background here,

Tell me a lil bit ? have you done Kaplan Book ? First Aid ? Or DIT ? if not, at least you should read First Aid once before doing any Qbank. If by the end of the Qbank you still dont feel like you have consolidate all that you know on FA, go over DIT it will take you 15 days to do it, but at least it will help you a lot, it did to me.

Another point is USMLE RX not a lot of people recommend it but i do, because it help me a lot in the same way, consolidated FA.

Keep it up and post ur progress we will try to help you.

Hi, first of all thank u for ur kind gesture..

i hav done kaplan notes 2 times - finished it 3 mts back
Golijan RR Just 1 reading - Finished long back but don remember ne thin.
i took a big gap, now am doin FA - 1st readin
along wid UW Qbank - finished 10 % till now.

So tested my self wid UWSA 1 - Scored 160 on 3 digit

Ques: Should i go back n revise Kaplan, Golijan , FA etc.., I still left wid UW Qbank 90% to finish.. OR wat is the best step 2 do..

My Exam is on 30 DEC 2011.

Try DIT if you're having trouble grasping concepts in FA or if you simply can't get through FA on your own. I would also listen to Goljan audio.

Kaplan Videos + UW....you DONT have to read Goljan...and well, i didnt read FA (cause I didnt like it), but I know that is the most popular among all books...

So according 2 you jus UW n FA would be enough 2 get around 240 or should i go back to imp topics in Golijan RR..

well, I didnt use FA...I think Kaplan + UW is more than enough. I dont think goljan audio/notes are need it...they aren't up to date...use UW for that

If you really want to revise Goljan RR then revise only the margin notes (its in 3rd edition). That should be adequate. For the rest FA + UW is enough.
