Default Audio while driving

I am moving farther from my campus next year so I will have ~30-40 minute drive to and from school. I want to make use of this time, so I was thinking about looking into Goljan audio.

I'm curious whether people actually find that they retain things from audio? Should I only listen to the specific path sections as I am doing them in class? I imagine listening ahead would not be beneficial at all.

I am a student like you too and I have listened to some of the Goljan lectures and this is what my conclusion as a 2nd year medical student is:
  • There are super high yield and Everyone should listen to them atleast once
  • BUT
  • Being a student one must complete Anat+BioC+Physio+Micro+Pharm+Basic idea of path before he/she touches goljan
  • I haven't finished my micro/pharm as of yet so what I do is
  • Watch Pathoma lectures, then read pathoma, then listen to the relevant portion of the audio

But anyone who has already done those subjects can start listening to integrate stuffs...but if you havent done those subjects before it might be a little problematic for you to keep focus but you can always try =)

Many people listen to the audio files only rather than reading his book. I also listen to it whenever driving or jogging. You may not get as much as active listening at home but think of it as an extra source on top of your other step resources. Even though the audio material is old, the concepts presented by Dr. Goljan still holds true today (besides the markers for MI). I think it can benefit you if you listen to it.
