I am also in 2nd Year(4th semester) what I personally do is,

USE Kaplan(for micro/pharm) + Pathoma(for patho) but that helps me to understand not memorize the 1000 pages of bullshit which our teachers expect us to write in the examaination, so I use prep manuals after my usmle stuff to consolidate the topic in my memory

For Pharma I use : Shanbhag, Patho: Gitika Khanna, Micro: Nagoba

So what you can do is use a prep manual for each subject before your written examination to get the thing done properly and it will help you memorize too

Best of Luck

Nope absolutely not...not at all useful for USMLE purposes but since in India we have to pass the board exam which is written so we have to use prep manuals...

No need to buy...students like me use it to get standard marks in written exam

Its great for cramming purposes but I dont think it will of any use to you...its a great tool for average Indian Students cramming for the boards without understanding...combine that with kaplan you get understanding and a resource to memorize from..

yes i use kaplan material and lippincott after that I use shanbhag to cram before college exams...I personally dislike tripathi...since it's too detailed but I do my basics from kaplan and lippincott and some topics I will cover from katzung later...smita can u tell me why you like tripathi so much?

I saw shanbag preview, it is very detailed , I wish books were like this in the US. Indian Authors explain things very easily.
