Still making mistakes in Physiology!

Hello friends...

I was wondering if someone could please advice me how to improve in physiology...consistently I'm making mistakes ...I think my few concepts are still not clear...what should I do...refer Kaplan Lectures Notes once more or stick to FA?

Hey sumedha! Are you weak in all the physio parts or just in some organ systems? Did u already read Kaplan? Did it help you? Maybe the kaplan book is not the best one for you in physio, do u have another one? How many time do u have left for prep?

Thanks for replying...well i don't have much time left as my exam's in December end...yeah i read Kaplan once.
Well apart from Kaplan I have Guyton's physiology...doing u world ques n revising it thoroughly would suffice?

I am sorry to say , but u will have to go back to Kaplan!! I was in your situation too. FA teaches you crap on physio! and I kept scoring low in it! cuz i had forgotten my Kaplan Concepts. so I did it again! and it did wonders!! give it 3 days. u still have enough time. Don't be afraid of taking the harder route

I agree with shyangel18 to understand physio FA is not enough. Its good for a quick review but to understand the concepts u need a comprehensive textbook. Kaplan is good, but if it doesnt suit u, u can use guyton. I dont know the book though. Its worth to understand physio! so give it some time. Best of luck

you can watch dr.Najeebs videos too from youtube. he is a good physiologist. it will help you alot.

if u dont have time
watch kaplan video especially dr wazir ( the old version ) not fischer version
fisher is joker only not good teacher in the video

maybe thats help if u dont have time

i agree, i saw both, in video Dr. Wazir is better. I don't know, but maybe in 2007 there was a better control of the videos, but seems now that they are available on the web illegally of course, they don't push themselves to much to make you understand like they did in the older videos.

but in terms of time, if you annotated in your kaplan notes, i think its faster to read the book, than to see the videos, but make sure you understand.

Dont know how much time u have but BRS z a great book. On d brink of finishing my last chapter n d concepts are amazing. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Thanks guys for ur valuable advices...i don't have enough time to go thru some new book which i didn't do in my first reading...but i have started revising kaplan once again n seriously feeling much confident now...
