Finasteride is a 5alpha reductase inhibitor. Meaning it inh. the conversion from testosteron to dihydrotest. which is more potent. Men alopecia is due to to dihydrotest.(theories that it has a negative effect on hair follicle). In women the problem is different. Women with hirsuitsm have too much testosteron and also dihydrotest. In order to reduce this effect u can also use finasteride. Does this help u? Best of luck studying!
