Default Q.Asthma

In u-world, it is mentioned that cold air incite asthma symptoms but no explanation is given.Can anybody explain by what mechanism cold air induce asthma symptoms?

I think cold air sensitizes the nerve endings(vagus) and there by leads to bronchoconstriction(parasympathetic) and asthma
