Medicolegal and Ethics Health power of attorney vs Living will?

As amazing as Dr. Steve Daugherty is, there is a confusion i have. In the video lecture he states: Health Power of Attorney has more legal power, even more that a living will or a previous oral statement of the patient itself.

As he says, the most important thing is the most recent decision, and because the health power of attorney gives the total decision making to that person, that makes it the last decision.

But the question i have is:
In the lecture notes it says that in end-life circumstances, if power of attorney person directly contradicts the living will, FOLLOW the LIVING WILL.

They both have the same power and weight legally and ethically.

Most persons do have only one document, either health power of attorney or a living will.

In the rare cicumstances when there are two conflicting documents then the more recent document will offset the previous one.
