Default Advice: failed step1

I got some bad news yesterday. I Failed step 1 for the secnd time, and I already enrolled to take CK for aug-oct period. Do you recommend taking step 1 again before CK? Should I go ahead and take CK and then come back to step 1?

Take the CK and then come back to the step 1. You should spend at least 4-6 weeks preparing well for the CK and also another 4-6 weeks to prepare for the step 1

Thanks for your imput. Thats what I was leaning towards but i talked to a counselor at the school and she suggested taking the step 1 again before CK. And I just feel i need a break from that test, but not so much that I bury the info deep down in my brain.

I m sorry to hear this but i just want to let you know that its ok. Things happen in life but dont let it slow you down or dishearten you.
I know its very hard but you can do this. I think taking a break from step 1 might do you some good. and doing CK and getting good result will be a positive enforcer for you. Yes you might forget some of the crammed stuff of step 1 by that time but its ok you can redo that.it might take an extra 20-30 days but in the long run that many days dont even count.

so go ahead with your CK. get it done with bcoz you are in middle of that and after that start step 1 again with a fresh clean mind.

all the best. i m sure you'll do fine
