Default Struggling with Step 1

Hi all

Img here. Started studying 2 years ago with many interruptions, working on research a couple of times, at the moment fully studying. I started with Kaplan videos for 4 months and where a waste of time because I could note remember anything, then did uworld with final score 50%, now studying with Usmle RX. Have done 3 NMBEs with low scores <185 and both UWSA with also low scores. Also I'm doing Anki daily. I am desperate to have a good score and feel frustrated I can't get one. I compare myself to my friends and they have all done step 1 and scored high.

I feel I am stuck and don't know what to do. As time has pass, I feel more frustrated and insecure. Sometimes I feel I don't have the strength to keep studying. I loss motivation easily and feel desperate to have this exam done. I used to have a goal of 240 and now I only want to pass. Every time I do a test or an NBME I get really nervous.

All my family and friends are pushing me to get the exam done, but I will not do it until I have a good NBME. I feel that due to this exam I am not enjoying life, I don't go out that much because I feel guilty of not studying.

Has anyone been in this situation? Advice please?

First Of All , stop comparing ur self to others, people have differnet abilitities and differnet minds , if they are more advanced than u this doesn't mean ur bad . actually this should motivates u to keep going . the only benefit from those friends is getting some advice only.
your problem is that u think u can study every thing and remember every thing, guess what, forgetting things is a part of life . in my opinion u shouldn't memorize kaplan just watch lectures and read books to get well understanding of bases , then u should get FIRST AID and that's the book u should read many times as it has the information u need for the test .. So stop underestimating ur self, get relaxed and take it easy ... listen kaplan or any other source .. read First AID.. do uworld or something and if u got low score in any questions this should make u happy because now u corrected some wrong information in ur mind .. also remember to take notes from every question u face... GOOD LUCK AND SORRY FOR THIS LONG REPLAY .
