Goljan Advice on Goljan RR and Histo pls

Hey guys.. there are a couple of things i need to know.

I know Goljan RR is the most popular book around for patho. But i'm finding it a lil difficult cuz the book's go just hints and the audio does not go with the book like the kaplan videos and books do. So it's kinda taking me a lot of time to do each chapter and i hardly seem to retain anything at the end of the day. So how do u guys do it? do u just read the book and not try to memorize?

Also, i'd like to know if doing histology is important. I've never liked studying histology and i don't feel like doing it for step 1 either

you might want to look into pathoma. its a 200 page book by dr sattar relatively new and a lot of people have been using it lately and have said it really was money for step 1. Although I havent started my dedicated studying yet will start in 3 weeks i have done one read from it during my 5th semester and it was amazing. you get a one year subscription with videos for only 100 dollars. I think its the best investment ive made so far makes path fun and you will def retain it becuase he simplifies everything. gluck.
