Default Valsalva and afterload

Does afterload also decrease during valsalva?

In Valsalva Straining,

Increased Intra-thoracic presuure ---> Low Venous Return ---> Low Preload

This Low preload leads to ---> Decreased CO

now we know that BP = CO x TPR

Since during Valsalva CO is decreasing BP should fall but instead the body will try to raise TPR(afterload) trying to maintain BP by constricting arterioles.
