bp means base pairs...in the nucleic acids A pairs with T and G with C. hence A-T is one base pair and C-G is the other ones
if the stem says 5 bp then it denotes 5 sequences for ex., ATCGA and the correponding sequence on the other strand of DNA is TAGCT

hey thx....

so i reread tis q...

n it says tat frameshift mutation can b determined by addition or deletion of bp nt in mulitples of 3

other i made out of it...is
silent mutation is single base substitution in codon bt coding same AA ...bt can u make tat out on RFLP pix?

misense is single base mutation in codon substitution bt coding diff AA...

nonsense is base mutation leading 2 stp codon...

bt can u determine tes by RFLP pic or tes are made by q only?

if i mised somthg or am wrong plz corect me

dna and rna are composed of sequences of 4 bases arranged into codons composed of 3 sequential bases???

i understod d part....

eg: AUG is a codon and has 3 sequential bases A, U, G

wat is sequence of 4 bases arranged into codon mean?

it says DNA OR RNA so they are composed of sequences of 4 bases (A G T/U)
thymine in DNA and
uracil in RNA instead of thymine

BUT still it has to be only 3bp in one codon A G and EITHER T or U-----> so total are 4 BUT codon is composed of only 3 bp for example AUG or ATG

hope u got it...
