Question Is 220/81 a good score?

Hello, everyone !!
I am IMG, yog 2009, just passed step 1 USMLE. Praise and THanks 100000x to GOD !!
I want to share my exp how i prep for this exam since this forum have helped me so much. thanks for this forum..

This is my 2nd attempt after i made a massive mistake by taking the exam for the first time without any prep..I lived in the small town, even to open google, it took a minute. It was very difficult getting info about prep USMLE. No one of my friend wanna take this exam. SO I WANT TO WARN ALL OF YOU NOT TO REPEAT A MISTAKE LIKE I DID. PLEASE BE READY, WELL IN PREP, BEFORE YOU STEP UP ON THE EXAM !!

At the first time i knew that i failed (got 147!, MAYBE THE WORST EVER YOU'VE SEEN), i was not disappointed, because at that time i did not know some program prefer to the 1st attempt and i thought i still had another 5 attempts... But at the time i knew about this, i felt blue.. depressed, really!! I just wasted my opportunity, so foolish!! I barely couldnt go to bed everyday, just thought about this..
If some of you feel like this, in this moment you really2 NEED A FRIEND to support you and STICK TO YOUR GOAL AND DREAM, TRY TO FORGET THE PAST, BELIEVE in YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE GONNA PASS NEXT TIME, AND PRAY..

But as time goes by, God opened me the way, i knew how to prep, provided me the materials, have a friend to support, and all the things i needed..

PREPARATION :
My prep was almost 10-11 months, from Jan to Nov. From Jan to May, i just studied about 5-7 hours, because i still need go to hospital to do my master program. But starting from June, i left my master program and try to focus at practicing questions everyday (8-10 hours daily).
I used Kaplan Lecture note, First Aid 2010, (did not know about Goljan).. and Qbank i used were Kaplan Qbank, UW, USMLE Rx.
I took NBME offline for form 1,2,3,4,5,6 (avg 70%)
UWSA 1 (2 weeks before) 224
NBME 11 (10 days before) 228
UWSA 2 (9 days before) 232
NBME 12 (7 days before) 217
NBME 7 (3 days before) 205, this really really ruined my confidence.. :<
I read again FA for my last 3 days, and strengthened my weakness according to NMBE 7.
USMLE free 150 (took it at prometric,2 days before) 85%

EXAM :
I went to prometric on time, i did not want to wait so long, because i knew it would make me more worries..
1st block : Five first qs, i felt so terrible, panic.. I think it was normal. (i thought this block was not that smooth, so i took a break 7 min)
2nd and 3rd : I think it was avg, not so difficult. (take a break for lunch 20 min.)
4th and 5th : 4th was avg again, 5th was a little bit harder than 4th (took a break again 10min)
6th and 7th : 6th was the toughest one, 7th was the easiest one... FINISHED !!!!!!!!

Just after got out from the room, i felt so happy, freeeeeee..
When i arrived at my home, i checked several qs and i thought i have made a couple mistake and start to worry waiting for my result. And i thought i will fail again this time.. I assured you, this was normal..

at the first time my target was >220, but after my NBME 7 was so awful, i just aimed for >210.

MY SCORE : 220/81

is it a good score?

Behavioral science still be my most weakness area, same with NMBE prediction.. (so for IMG, please practice this.)

I know my score is not that awesome like everybody posted in this forum, but i am glad that i have passed..

I hope my exp will be helpful for those who read this post.. Please feel free to ask...

Even all of us will compete each others but still we need to help others who needed..
And God will reply you more and more..

Now, STEP 2 CK...... I am coming !!!!

God bless ya all!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..

Congratulations! You've made a huge improvement and I'm sure it will be noticed when you apply for a residency.

@ergo: Kaplan 60% once..
My UW was 60% at the first time and >80% repeated for 2nd time..

@oksana :
I think Kaplan Lecture Note is the first thing MUST DO, along with the video if you had..
And then the book MUST READ over and over again is FA, read more than 4 times at least..
And then do qbank, either Kaplan or UW. But best if you could do both..
Are you from Japan?

Thankss...

Do you think it's necessary to do the older NBMEs like 1-6? Did the same concepts actually show up on the test?

I think the NBME must do is form 7,11,12... but for me, i did form 11,12,7, in this order, and got 228,217,205..respectively. and i got 220/81 in the real exam.. So from here, maybe you will have a description about NMBE..

how do you think my score? because sometimes i feel low about this score.. But could not be happier since my NBME was not so awesome either..
