Question High yield topics but low understanding

Can anyone suggest me the best resources for the following

a. G protein, tyrosine kinase receptors and related stuff which is given under Hormone chapter in biochem but is poorly explained.

b.Immunology- Is HY for immuno good, better and more comprehensive than kaplan?

I found Kaplan immuno totally useless and a difficult read, and the lady makes it even more worse.

Kindly pour in you experiences for these topics as get them wrong again and again

for immuno, the 80 pp of Imm at the back of Levinson's Micro&ImmRev for the boards is all that you need. HY is also good but it is abt 160pp... for GTP and tyrosine kinase..., either you go find it in Wiki or try HY Molecular Biology. Gluck!

DON'T do this mistake and miss kaplan videos....

Do kaplan videos 2010 Ed for Immuno then "if u want" follow her in the book... but KLN vids + UW for immuno is enough...

you feel that she is giving u the questions for the exam.. but if u do lectures notes alone it is soooo boring and you will not know what is important...!

a. I think the chapter on Costanzo's text, the endocrine chapter was the best one that explained this for me while I was doing basic sciences. It's the beginning of the chapter and it is very descriptive. After you understand it there, you can then just skim over it in any other text.

b. The first time I read Levinson's immuno section (90 pages) I was amazed at how well it was explained. That said, I think Kaplan's immuno book is pretty darn good on it's own. Videos help too. But the book is the best. Read it at least twice back to back to understand it fully.
