I agree Timing the steps for IMG

Hi,

I recently got my MBBS from an Indian medical college and is planning to take the step 1 soon after/during my house surgeoncy(1 year rotating internship).

I would like to get the insight on how to time Step 1 and Step 2 CK and CS.

Should I take Step 1 only after preparing for Step 1 and 2 CK and take both in a span of a month or should I get through Step 1 and start preparing for Step 2 CK? In that case, how long will it take for preparation of Step 2 CK for a IMG?
Also, what's the best time to take Step 2 CS exam?

Also, when should I apply to ECMFG if I'm planning to take the first step after 1 year from now?

Thanks

Register first with ECMFG then take step1 prep will take 6months approx and then CK another 6months...dont try to intermix between steps you will end up screwing both
