d neighbour of 14yr old boy brings him in emer after laceration on scalp 4m head trauma.u determin req suturing.which is most accurate?
a.pt can giv consent as emacipated
b.neigbour can giv consent
c.wait 4 consent of atleast 1 parent
d.consent nt required in tis case

in emergency cases like life in risk no consent is required so i will go with D.

since I don't see why you need a consent in this situation ?

tats wat even i answered however the ans is wait 4 consent of 1 parent....which i dont get reason 4...

tis how i made up as emergency situation bt not life threatning and pt is minor so consent of 1 parent is required ...so till parent comes mayb make pt sit wit cotton to his head!!!

.it is nt required i ges in emerg life threatning situations

Although the patient is minor but he was brought in an emergency condition, i think the question has some hidden clue if the answer is c.
D seems most appropriate whats the explanation in the bank.

i would have also gone with D

but u see its just a laceration not life threatening yet ,so we will wait for parents consent . if pt becomes unconscious due blood loss then it becomes a life threatening situation.
but i guess laceration can be temporarily managed by applying pressure on the wound .
it makes sense so answer would be C.what do u think ?
