Immunology The Immune Mechanism of The Tuberculin Test

Is this the mechanism of a tuberculin test?

1. The protein is injected into skin
2. Macrophages (not CD8 T cells) take it up and present to the CD4 T cells.
3. CD4 will release the necessary interleukins and IFN gamma resulting in the influx of macrophages to the site of injection resulting in granuloma.

And is there any role of CD8 T cells in this?

Also in other Type IV Hypersensitivity like contact dermatitis is the CD8 T cells or macrophages playing a role at the lesion?
