Default tips for the next 5 months

To all my experienced Step 1 test takers:

I Finished kaplan videos and have around 5 months left till my exam.

For the first two months, I plan on doing Kaplan qbank questions subjectwise(along with fa), twice.

For the last three months I plan on doing Uworld random timed mode, reading the first aid during the last week of each month.

In total, I will have complted fa readings 5 times, uworld around 2 times and kaplan qbank around 2 times.

Any suggestions, ideas, tips?

edit:

P.S. Is DIT really worth it? When should I do it

Seriously do not do kaplan qbank twice .u will be burned out.kaplan qbank is too detailed ,too much nit picky details .but good as a starting qbank.

i think doing once with first aid will take around 45 days .

dont get burned out and bored before UW.UW twice in itself will hugely increase your confidence and prepare u.i m doing second time UW and i feel i can slam Q s ,ready for exam . UW is great .
and also add FA with UW .look up almost every Q of UW from FA.

just my opinion

PS i did kaplan qbank once beginning of my prep

What if your score is really low? Even then don't do it twice? Yes that is exactly why I was thinking about doing it twice because they ask such detailed questions plus I hear now that the step is a combo of uworld/kaplan/and nbmes. So I want to become familiar with even the riduculously hard qbank like kaplan.

My score will be good .i have given everything to this exam.i was trying to help.it is really rude of u to say like this .u take care of your score before giving remarks to others .man! i m pissed

i was just saying your schedule is overloading.if u can achieve it then best of luck.kaplan qbank covers details that r low yield for this exam .uworld only tests high yield concepts.i m not debating quality of a product if like both do them twice .

and do not ask for tips if u do not want others opinion.

man you gotta be careful. thats not cool to assume someone would say something negative. why the heck would i do that when i barely know you or your scores.

Okay so what if "one's scores are really low". Even then we shouldn't do it twice? Yes that is why i was thinking about doing it twice because they ask such detailed questions plus I hear now that step is a combo of uworld/kaplan/and nbmes so I want to become familiar with even the ridiculously hard qbank like kaplan.

What if I choose to do just the high yield question option on kaplan qbank?

when your exam is far you want to do lot of stuff.u make a plan .

but when u go through the plan u will realize that from some product(qbank, videos or books) u r learning and gaining maximum. there will some products from which u will be bored quickly and realize u r not gaining much.

kaplan qbank will made me bored and found i m not learining much.UW on the other hand made me addictive and i felt i can learn so much from it .

but its my experience .everybody is different.

gluck

i would say u do whole kaplan qbank once then decide u shld do it again .if u feel u r getting benefited then u can do again.

yeah that looks like the plan now. also, for uworld, when we do it random timed mode, should we add it to fa or add it to a separate notebook?

i would say make notes in FA and also make less.coz when u will redo whole uworld near exam ,u will go through all uworld close to the exam .so when will u read the notes that u made
