Question 81% in UW; Should I do an NBME?

Hi
I have 20 days left for my step 1 exam and I am getting an average of 81% on usmle world (unused, timed) and I have not done any NBME, does that almost guarantee that I will get a good score? Will I get anything from doing an NBME? Are UW questions really similar to the real exam or the exam is different?
Thank you

Yes you should definitely take a nbme asap.the new ones coz u r near the exam date nbme 11 12.the new nbme are similar to the current exams.

the syllabus is very big.so u may not know in which subjects u r lacking knowledge.nbme will show u u're weak subjects .so that u can work on them and be prepared before the exam.as u r getting a very good score in uworld .i m sure u will do very good, but u should not take chances as this exam cannot be taken again .
uworld and first aid cover almost everything for exam but to be sure take nbme

your 81% in uworld is first time ? or u r doing 2nd time

Yes it is the score of the first time with random, timed, unused questions.

Man ! first time 81% is awesome.heard very less somebody scoring that high in uworld.
well what happened with me was,i took nbme recently and i performed bad because of biochem and biostat .then i worked on these areas and in a week my score improved by 30.the scoring is curved ,few bad areas can damage your score.so nbme are best way to analyze and also to predict your score.

You are going great. Will definately get a great score.

But i suggest to take atleast one nbme. As exam is much more like NBME questions.

Moreover, history suggests that NBME is an accurate predictor.

So take a nbme to consolidate your confidence.

Thank you.
