Correct Answer My score

As the forum gave alot to me, it deserves an input from me:

Score:230/83

It might not be that amazing to alot of people, but it is what I had aimed for - old score wise its a 96% , my aim was 90%+ . ALHAMDELILLAHH

Anyways, My plan:

I had done 3.5 months of prep with variable days of studying + 4th yr of medical school.
I only read for Neuroanatomy(BRS), Pharmacology and Biochemistry (lippincotts). The rest I just used my school notes. Listened to a few Goljan Audio ( 4 topics)
I read First Aid - cover to cover as people like to call it , only once, with Reproduction like 5 times, it was my weakest point.

Qbank : Kaplan, covered around 80% with an avg of around 69%.
Both of my simulated exam were around 65% on the kaplan qbank.
Gave 1 NBME , 1.5 week prior scored 500 - 218 on it.

The message I am trying to get across is:

PLAN! I didn't and if I did I would have done far better than this. INVESTIGATE before u apply, see where you stand in class, how much you need to put in, and plan accordingly.
INDIVIDULIZE: everyone has their own plan, their own strategy , find which one suits you best.

LASTLY, for those starting and those yet to sit, GOOOD LUCKKKK!

Hi Chahar,

This is how I go about with scores,
1. what was your aim?
2. which program are you interested in ?
3. Are you an IMG /AMG?
4. Are you a US or Canadian Citizen?
5. Which Yr of medical school are you in? If not, how many yrs of practice?
6.Extra involvements.

What country do you go to school in? I assume the curriculum is in English, since you used your school notes?

Did BRS Neuroanatomy helped you for the exams? Or it was an overkill?

Because i hear all the time about High-Yield Neuro and nothing about BRS...

Yes, it was alot of work and reading, did it help me? not so much. especially since i did it earlier in my prep, I had forgotten half the detail.
the key in neuroanatomy is in the images, which i don't have a partiular link for, but if you know where things in an MRI/CT are you are ready for the most important part of neuroanatomy.

Hope this helped
