Help Guide me! so depressed. Aim for 240+ but UW70% NBME211

I am totally depressed now........

I prepared for 2 months, and registered test on 8/27!!(because summer vacation ends in August 31st, I'll have to go back to school which leaves me little time to study.)

I am an IMG, so I aimed for 240+, but did NBME17, got only 211!! (30 points to go!)

Let me report what I did, so you can give me advice: I have done pathoma (3/4 of the videos and found that I still cannot do the pathology questions right in UW.) and DIT (all of them.) with FA and UW(got 70% correct now)

I got so disappointed with my two-months work and a 211 on NBME 17......

I can get it after I read the explanations on the forum, but I couldn't figure it out what the crazy question is testing at first glance!

Don't know what to do next?!

Should I go on completing residual 1200Qs in UW or should I read books or other material?

And could someone tell me how long does it take to reach my goal. (sad)

Appreciate for any of you to reply

Hi,
I'm in a same boat as you, ~30 points below my desired score.
I've decided to postpone my exam. My scores went up by 16 points a week later. Maybe I was just stressed out or something. But I already postponed, so have time to study 2 more months to reach my goal.
Think about it this way. If you went to the test tomorrow and got that score +/-5 pts would you be happy? If not, you have about a week to decide to postpone the exam (before paying crazy amount of money to prometric (Im not sure if it's 5 or 7 days, be sure to check that out.)
Take this week to study as hard as you can. Work on your weak subjects. After that, take another NBME. If you don't make a big jump in your score, postpone your exam.

lynn6614, hi I strongly recommend you to do another 1200 questions in UW. Don't panic, keep calm and push thought. Remember, that UW is a learning tool, and not for assessment. I'm also IMG and doing UW now, I'm trying to learn in every question, sometimes it's take about 10 minutes to read all explanations, and why other choices are not correct. I'm sure that this strategy will give me great benefit, good luck.
