USMLEWorld Lowest "OK" UW Score!

I started USMLE World today, and with great excitement and enthusiasm I might add! I did two blocks and got a 52% and a 42%

I've been rolling around in bed for two hours and I just can't go to sleep. I feel like I'm a failure and that I've wasted all my time with the USMLE.

Is there some sort of minimum standard a step taker should abide by??

May god help me and help all of us in with what is ahead.

Well, its more like a learning tool anyway,
but doing TIMED and UNUSED, all topics and sticking around "others students scores" supposed to be sort of ok.

I'd say if you are constantly below 50 - its not very good, but seriously, take it as a tool at the end of a day.

UW is very smart thing that teaches you a lot if you are willing to be tought. Just get as much as possible from every question's explanation and you'll be golden! Cuz you payed for practice questions, not evaluating questions (as NBME)

good luck

i just started all systems all subjects timed unused mode and im just under 50% in the two blocks of done. disapointing yea, but im sure itll pick up. i think its normal to be at 50 when you're starting out.

Default Is this the first qbank you used?

If usmleworld is the first qbank you used, then, don't be too hard on yourself. Averaging around 50% is understandable. This is not the end. The important thing is you identify the subjects you are weak on and work on it after doing the qbank. Sometimes usmleworld is a wake-up call.

Since you're not doing very well in it, I suggest that you use it as a learning tool. Take it in small blocks arranged per subject and per topic. Take notes from the explanations so you'll have better retention. Observe how questions are phrased and how they integrate concepts. As you go along, your scores will go up.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Start doing subject wise questions.and read that subject from first aid before attempting that subject from uworld.you will see a 10% improvement.
if its your first qbank then its fine to score in 50s.

Default Fight fight fight!

Thank you all so much for the replies! I must say the pep talk helped boost my confidence a bit!!

Since this is my first Qbank I suppose I will start solving questions subject-wise.
Hopefully, i will learn more and at the same time not commit suicide- two birds with one stone
