Virus Do we need to know viral classification and structures!

Hallo Everyone
I would like to ask you guys... Is it very significant to know the RNA or DNA structure of all the viruses?
I mean DS/SS/Negative/Positive/ Segemetns and so on
I just can't sit and memorize these stuff

Save It!

DNA, RNA, SS, DS ... is high yield, how they replicate, and how the immune system react to it. I keep forgetting those things too. There are cetainly HY virus families and LY ones, for exmpl HHV-6,8, poliomaviridae, paramyxoviridae not HY...etc
What is even more HY is the tables of Hepatitis viruses, the serology curves, HIV virus, serology, curves, receptors, and DNA viruses, RNA viruses...
These are the "come back b4 the exam" info.
Hope it helps.

Hepadnaviridae, Retroviridae .. with all the serology curves, receptors and all bunch of stuff need to be memorized
I will not cram on the LY ones ! Thanks a lot again !
