A 55-year-old woman comes to the physician because of a 3-month history of increased fatigue and difficulty sleeping She says that she feels sad and empty and Is not interested in her hobbies anymore She has no history of major medical illness She takes no medications She does not smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol Physicalexamination and laboratory studies show no abnormalities Treatment with escitalopram is started The next day, the patient's husband calls the physician l ask about his wife's diagnosis. the answer is Doctor cannot discuss patient information unless the husband has a form release consent from wife.
