hello,

I find this forum very helpful which is why I've come here for some urgent guidance.

I did uworld self assessment #2 yesterday and scored a 620/244. Plz can someone let me know how well does it correlate to the original score and if im aiming for step 1 score of 260+ what else can i do to improve it.

plz help as im really worried and wanted to give exam by next week.
also will my nbme score be any different if i do it in the next couple of days ?

thank u once again !

According to threads in this forum, the uworld self-assessment test overestimates the actual usmle score by 10 points. If, for example, you got 240, subtract 10 points from it and that'll be more likely your usmle score.

Yep, I also think you need to post your step 1 preparation if you want other people to help you how to improve... :)

Looks to me like you're on the right track. Hang in there... Just a little more. ;)

Do you know which subjects you're weak at and have you done kaplan qbank?
Why not do kaplan qbank and work on those weak subjects?

You can read Bassatom's step 1 experience found in this forum. That's what he did when he got a low nbme after doing uworld and KLN. He eventually got a 99. Also, browse through old threads/step 1 experiences and see how they worked on getting a high score. :)

Two qbanks are recommended but are not mandatory to get a high score in the usmle. If you don't like to do kaplan qbank after uworld, that's ok. Let the nbmes be your "litmus paper" test. If after uworld you get your target score, then you don't have to do kaplan qbank. If you don't get your target score, then, just be aware that kaplan qbank is still one of the options that can help you improve your score. :)

What has been your study plan? What have you already done? Its helpful to know what you have been studying for people to give you advice. But based on your assessment score, I would say that you should try to do kaplan lecture notes with the videos. These videos will really help you understand the basics so that you can connect the dots from first aid. Kaplan really helped me understand the information that FA has given. So I would recommend that you do kaplan ASAP, and then READ first aid cover to cover. Reading first aid after doing kaplan will most definitely help you get a better score on any assessment exam. Good luck!
