Default pharm from pretest - disappointing results

is there som1 who uses pretest for pharm?i know that they are in a different form than exam but i do them after every section cos i don't feel well with my knowledge.
my results of them makes me sick. eg cardiac section is like 41% correct answer.
i feel like i'm in the middle of nowhere with material from pharm...

my method for prep is watching kaplan video and after every single recording reading that from kn. i'm doing some flash cards from the hardest points for me. after every section qts from kn and pretest.

I'm sorry but I can't really say anything about pharm pre-test bec I haven't read or saw reviews about it... but I get your strategy of reading a section and doing questions.

I'm also planning to do that: KLN + end-of-section questions + do my own flashcards on my pharma revision next week. But I'm planning to use Katzung Review of pharma for the end-of-section questions. It's one of the highly recommended review books for the usmle. It has around 15 mcqs at the end of the chapter.

I read pre-test books on other subjects and the explanations are just too lengthy! They are valued more for their explanations than their questions. I use them only if I can't find any other good qbook specific to a subject.

Thanks for the reply. That's true they have a long explanations. Somethimes it's fine cos u can repeat material but usually i need one day of my learning for doing qts from every single section so it's too much i think.

Would you be so nice and share with me this Katzung question book?
I be really grateful.

I'd love to send it to you but what I have is the hard copy (actual book) and not the pdf. I bought it bec that's what I used for my local board exam. Its complete title is Katzung and Trevor's Pharmacology Examination and Board Review book. (There's another book also by Katzung and Trevor but the other one is a textbook and has no questions.) It has short chapters with around 15 mcqs at the end. Maybe your friends have it or someone else here in the forum.
