Default Is only one Question bank (UW) enough?

Hi there,

i'm planning on taking step 1 on May or June and I'm on the second read of FA (on microbiology, more precisely).
I want to start a Qbank to practice and learn, to enhance my memorization, etc... So I was thinking about buying Kaplan Qbank and do only High Yield with the subjects that I already reviewed, tutor mode.. and then later start UW random, unused, etc...

The problem is that I dont know if I will have time for all those questions, during my internship I have like 6 h/day to study... was planning on studying FA 4 hours and 2 hours of questions, until finishing FA and qbank, THEN start UW for the remaining time (assuming that it's 2 months remaining at least)...

what do you guys think?
Should I only finish reviewing FA without questions and start UW and doing it twice, or using Kaplan + UW?

That's a difficult situation... The time factor (studying during internship) makes giving an answer to your question hard.

1. If you have the option, you might want to think if you want to give step 1 prep more time.

2. Your first plan of using only FA may not be such a good idea. It is a compilation of high-yields but it's severely lacking in many areas. You'll realize this when you start with qbanks. But if you still want to push through with only FA and risk it, then, that's fine.

3. If you're not sure if you'll have enough time for 2 qbanks, start with usmle world. Run-through it a second time with the questions you got wrong. Then, work on your weak areas on kaplan qbank. That's what I would do if I don't have enough time.

4. As for your last question, you can read FA per subject then answer the corresponding subject in uworld.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
