Question How accurate is NBME Form 11?

hey guys...

ok iv seen the poll on all the nbmes...

but i recently took nbme 11 and found the questions to be too straight forward! and very short too..
as compared to 12 that i had taken earlier... which was really hard for me.

how well does nbme 11 co-relate with the actual test?
anyone who has got scores already?

my exam is in 5 days..
any help will be appreciated

I have not given the exam yet bt lot of my friends who took it told me that nbme 11 is very accurate in predicting your sore even lot of pics were repeated from it in there exam. And about the length of the questions they will be mixed 50% of the questions are very straightforward in rest 50% there will be few very wierd question which u cn understand is an experimental question where u have to mark and move forward not really much can be done fr them. And the rest of all the question eventhough are long enough they will give u buzwords which u have to catch. He told me the best way to handle such long questions is to read the last line of the question first so that u know from beginning what they are looking for and then on the reading the questionstem u can look for the buzzwords related to it.
Best of luck

All the best for the exam and did you give it online or offline? how much did u score?
from what i know real exam has mix of both simple, hard harder and few WTF Q's.NBME 11 is a good predictor of the exam.My opinion is don't underestimate it

i was regular observer of Student doctor network forum ,which is primarily an AMGs forum .they consider nbme 11 as one of the most respectable and harder nbme ,even harder than nbme 12.

my own experience i found nbme 11 harder than nbme 7 .
i took nbme 11 2 weeks after nbme 7 and did 1000 UW Qs in between and still got 4 points less in nbme 11 than nbme 7 .

Now u found nbme 11 very easy makes me feel somebody is going to get 260+ on the main exam .u r prepared buddy .
Gluck

Haha!! Well I hope... But that sounds too far fetched! Lol

Just found it really straight forward...
12 was more like wtf!
So was wondering.

I m sure about one thing nbme 11 and nbme 12 are of comparable toughness. u finding nbme 11 more doable because u r more prepared.

if u take 2 nbmes within few days and there is a variation in scores it is more likely u will get your final score in between them .each nbme focus on some topics more than the other .your main exam is more likely be a mixture of several nbme, as its more balanced .

hope that helps .

This is weird, I also got a little bit less points on 11th form than on 7th
