Kaplan Medical Kaplan Endocrine Physio - WAY too long

So 10+ hours of videos and 100+ pages for just endocrine physiology?
Is the kaplan section for this overkill or too wordy or something? Seems awfully long especially considering other sections are like 4 hours vid, 40-50 pages max.

After taking 3 days to go through respiratory videos and lectures notes I'm starting to get stressed about how long this is all taking me. I looked into brs and saw the resp section is only 24 pages and can be done twice over in a day easily.

I like the level of understanding I have after reading the kaplan notes, but I hate how reading them takes me 2 days per 50 pg's. I'm starting to worry that endocrine alone will take me a full week.

Its worth putting ur time into

It's better to hv clear concepts now... Than to freak out later while doing questions. And going back n forth!
That will cause u to lose more time in the long run.

Remember these are basic concepts.. Fine points of which will be useful for step 2 n 3 too!!

Keep at it!
Good luck

But some of my friends said it was alot in their Step! So I guess its worth the time...

@HappyMD: Thank you for posting this thread. I have been thinking about the same thing about physio. It seems so looooonnng....

@mbbs2010: Thank you. I am grateful you have convinced me that it's worth the time. The hours in physio lectures have been bugging me. I've been tempted to skip it. But you're right. It's better to have clear concepts now than freak out later.

My problem is that I only 3-4 hours a day right now, so it takes me like 2 days to get through a section of videos while making notes because I keep pausing, then another 2 days to master the notes. If you can get the videos done in one day and then the next day review the notes and bang out each system in 2 days stick to kaplan.

It builds such strong concepts it's pretty amazing. After doing resp with dr. kudrath I could answer most resp physio questions before even reading the lecture notes.

Endocrrine and dr. fish are what are scaring me haha.

If you are doing the Kaplan videos you can do them in VLC media player and increase the speed whenever you want.. Mainly Dr.Fischer goes makes alot of crazy jokes where I get so irritated so I put those in the highest speed possible and some 15mins videos are done in 5 mins!

First time of my read for physio + videos took me like a month... Its thorugh, deep and pretty focused. Videos can be long, but Kudrath did a great job explaining physio(he is terrible in other stuff, but really great in physio)
The second read took me like a week for the whole Physio book.
I think its definitely worth of spending time.
