Hi, Drbooda!

Yep, I agree with your plan of Rx along with FA, then Kaplan qbank, and Uworld last. In my opinion, that's the best ideal use of qbanks.

For your question, if doing uworld twice is better than uworld + Rx. I'd go with uworld + Rx than doing uworld twice. Why? With your plan as mentioned above, I believe you can ace uworld by the time you get to it. If your uworld score is above 80, I don't think you need to repeat it for a second time. You may just need to review you incorrect answers.

However, I am concerned when you said you only have 3 months for the question banks. Does that mean that your exam is in 3 months? This is because using 3 question banks is ideal when you're starting your prep. For example, usmleRx during your first read, kaplan qbank during revision, and uworld when preparing for the exam.

At least one of those three question banks, you will use as a learning tool. That might take around two months in itself. Of course, you'll also want to refer back to KLN.

I'm thinking that although the plan is great, time (3 months) is a limiting factor. If that's the case, you might want another strategy (i.e. start with uworld).

Thanks alot
My exam is in the last week of june (4 months later)

I've done 2 reads from KlN and some BRSs, and read FA once so far,
with that, is 3 months still not enough??, I'm not using any of them as a primary studying tool, I already have a good idea abt the subjects.
is it ok??, or still i shall really reconsider the timing??

Thanks alot

With that said, I think you'll do great on the qbanks. But I won't recommend doing three though. You might run out of time. I know you're very prepared but you also have to consider the worst-case scenario in terms of time. If one of the qbanks took you 2 months, it might jeopardize your time for your last qbank (i.e. usmleworld).

Taking 2 months in a qbank is not far-fetched bec the first qbank can always be a "shocker". Usmleworld can also come off as hard no matter how prepared you are. Also, you need to give yourself time to work on weak subjects after doing a qbank. But of course on the up side, maybe you'll find them very easy.

I recommend going only with two. Drop usmleRx. If after doing usmleworld and kaplan, you still need to strengthen FA concepts or do additional questions, then, add usmleRx. At least, by then, you already have gone through the two important qbanks esp. usmleworld.
