Default [urgent help needed]

hey..guyss..urgent help needed..

i am a NON US IMG got admitted in medical school on aug 2007 and completed my course on 2013 with an extra year to complete my last professional year( very unfortunately got supplementary in medicine two times due to some problems)...

then i did my internship from 2013 to 2014 feb

did one year compulsory state service due to bond from 2014-2015 feb

so..do you think that having supplementary only in final year and taking one extra year to pass my medical course..i should quit to prepare for USMLE..??

i have talked to my seniors and they are saying me that having an extra year to complete the course is detrimental to my application for USMLE..is it true guys..??

please ..someone help me to make me a correct decision..i am in a HUGE dilemma now..!

Ecfmg doesnt really carea about supplies.. The fact that it took you an extra year maybe you can explain why you had to go through that whether it was personal family or health issue. Theres no harm in writing a letter to give an explanation. I dont think it matters for Usmle though. Try to work hard for step 1 and aim for a high score; should beat any lackings you have in your application
