Default November test taker freaking out

Hello everyone,

I usually never get on the forums because they always caused me axiety...

I wanted to get thoughts on my process

I did DIT 2014 very slowly as in, I made sure I got everything, and did the entire workbook and quizzes and literally wrote everything down on a separate note book...now I am doing a block a day write every correct and incorrect answer on a note book.

So started Uworld and so far I am averaging 60 timed. also doing pathoma everyday and at night reviewing with Stechymicro..

I feel that averaging 60 is not good enough I wanna get around 230... and my test day is Nov 23... (55 days from now)

PLan is to finish pathoma and redo DIT in 28 days and by Nov. 1st take my first nbme..

Any thoughts?? Advice should I postpone my test?

Thanks in advance

like said, take one NBME as early as possible to know where you are, u don't want to freak out in the last month if u get a low score on NBME, take it online so that you will know where you are weak, try to revise as much as possible and keep doing uw self assessments and NBME regularly as you go along each week, this will let know you where exactly you are from your desired score, but be carefully if u get a very low score or failed in your first nbme dont panic,(never stop studying continue right from the next day, if u really are shocked or depressed after your first nbme then take a day off and come back as fast possible but don't take too long it happens all time to so many ppl and u are not alone) plan properly and work out your weak areas really good this time, and don't use all the Nbmes if u get a low score or failed give little time until u have finished your weak areas.
hope this helps
study well
bye

Do not do DIT again

Buy another bank and go thru that either Kaplan or USMLE Weapon

Correct Answer Do NBME online to diagnose weak areas

Being nervous is normal....we are all in the same boat. Like Dr. Barone told us at kaplan " USMLE Step 1 is the hardest test in the world" If it was easy, everyone will do it. You just have make sure you review FA, know the high yield points very well, do as many questions as you can and take an NBME online to diagnose your weak areas....you still have time. Don't do DIT again. IF you already did UW, do another qbank and work on your weak areas with FA and questions....

Best of luck and no worries....stay positive and confident!!!
