Question nbme question

An intoxicated 24 years old woman is brought to the ER because of a femoral fracture sustained from a fall from a second floor balcony. Two days after internal fixation of the fracture, she's agitated, appears confused, demands to leave the hospital against medical advice, and accuses the staff for torturing her. Pulse 120/min, BP 160/110 mm Hg. Which of the following best explains this behaviour:

a)acute stress disorder
b)alcohol withdrawal delirium
c)bipolar disorder
d)delusional disorder
e)post-traumatic stress disorder


Would someone be kind and please explain the answer is

try to understand concept and not memorize it, the way they like to test this in my exam and hubby's was the lady was preg after having uterus removed, it is still an alcoholic momma, get family/familiar with good scenarios like that and you will ace your exam.

thanks for the advice, i totally agree with u. Btw i figured out the answer myself after posting this question. in the Q it mentions "intoxicated" woman..... so has to be alcohol withdrawal...... when i 1st read it... this word didnt register to me.... so.. gotta be more attentive during the exam
