i think I am doing Kaplan more seriously now. They have FA pages for each Qs, which is very good. The first time I did Kaplan Qbank, I used this feature to annotate my FA and ended up with overwhelming with details. So I turned to UW to get the big picture first! If I have time, I will probably flip through Rx Qbank but many students say Rx do not tackle difficult concepts quite well if at all. I hope time is on my side!!! :sorry:

I have a friend who did something like this and he had a 240++:

5 weeks before the exam, he will review 3 days per subject. 7 days for patho. In the morning, he will do 1 block of qbank questions, random, timed. In the evening, he will do another block. He takes 1 nbme per week.
For the last two weeks, he stopped doing questions and just reviewed his notes and books.

Oh... To avoid confusion, I just want to clarify that he did that on the last 7 weeks (not 5 weeks) before his exam... So he divided the last leg of his prep into 5 weeks and 2 weeks like I mentioned above.

I don't really know, I haven't seen a new conversion table yet. But if I have to infer...

Based from the "step 1 experiences" scores that were posted here when the new two-digit system took effect:

230 - 83%
235 - 84%
245 - 86%
257 - 88%
262 - 89%

It's a bit sad... Coz no matter what I'll tell my parents and friends (that a new 2-digit system took place), even if I get a whopping 260+, it's still going to be an 89%. To non-usmle examinees, it's just black-and-white. It's a 99 or not.

Well, but, I don't really care at this point about "social stigma"! What I do care about is what the program directors' will think and they will evaluate me through the 3-digit score. So if everything turns out well, I'll be immensely happy with a 240++.
