Listening Dr. Najeebs online lecture series

Has anyone had a chance to go through Dr. najeebs online lecture library? My question is do you feel the topics covered in the lecture series covers the high yield concepts, or is there a lot of topics missing?

I have only had a chance to cover biochem and embryology. It seems like there is not enough for embryology. Any input would be greatly appreciated..

Question Am surprised

Am actually quite surprised how this guy has such a popularity among IMGs!

OK, he draws on the boards and makes lots of efforts but I mean come on guys. No better job than just reading any basic book.

No high yield info at all and as you said he misses lots of the high yield info.

He's OK for med school but he's not OK for USMLE.

Sorry for sounding little bit rude but I just wanted to throw my two cents.

Thanks for your responses. how much of the relevant 9high yield) material would you say he covered.

If you have any kind of course breakdown, that would be extremely helpful..

Let me clarify my score. I gave a 4, if you are going to use this as a usmle study source. On the other hand, if you only want to learn without time pressure, hes more than that.

Understood. My impression is these videos coupled with Kaplan lecture notes, has the potential to be a good step 1 study prep..

Default Dr Najeeb is good but...

Hi,

I think Dr. Najeeb is very talented professor, he clearly explains concepts which may be difficult to grasp by simply reading text. However using only his video for USMLE prep is not a good idea, as his videos do not focus on the high yield USMLE points you need to master. I only wished I came across these videos when I did my basic sciences in med school, it would have been greatly of help. So if you are currently a med student doing basic sciences then definitely subscribe to his vids, but if you are cramming for the USMLE then look at Kaplan or DIT..
