What do you guys think about taking say one of those 5 hour energy drinks or whatever on Step day lol?
Maybe take some Adderall?

I love the 5-hour energy drink!
![]() To illustrate: When I went to the US, I bought 3 boxes and brought them to my country for my local board exams. My friend then tried it and had another 3 boxes shipped for herself. ![]() Anyway, I'm "clean" for the usmle though. (Not exactly by choice. I ran out of 5-hour energy drinks and it's expensive to have them shipped...) I just stick to caffeine. Have you tried them before? The 5-hour energy drinks are remarkably effective! They really perk you up. However, I find that my concentrating abilities are subpar when I drink them. They stimulate my brain too much. In short, whatever you're planning to drink on the exam day. Try them and get used to them a month before the exam. Sometimes they can give you palpitations and make you jittery. Better know what to expect. P.S. So do you know where can I get Adderall? LOL!

![]() I did drink an energy drink for my local board exams (also a whole-day exam) and I still got tired in the 2nd half (afternoon). I then drank coffee for the second half... My tip is drink coffee or an energy drink in the morning, then, drink another one by lunch. That's it. Problem-solved! (Except the diuretic aspect of caffeines, but you'll figure that out.)

I dont drink any caffeine. No pop, no soda, nothing. I try to stay clear of all that stuff. Ive infact never drank coffee or an energy drink ever in my life lol.
But im only human and i surely will get tired during an 8 hr exam. Especially since i used to weight train and am used to eating everything 3 hrs. What do u guys recommend? Should i experiment with energy drinks when i do like mock exams as i come closer to the date? I like that idea of doing a 5hr energy drink at around block 5. Chocolate bars between blocks can only take you so far.
