You still have a lot of time! I think 72% is a very good score! But you probably want to boost your score up to 90%, keep up your good job!

LOL! I knew you might have another meaning to it... but it was really fun taking it at face value and teasing you!

Hmmm... I also wondered about the same thing. Like if the questions found in the pdfs above repeat in the nbmes?

Thanks man!
I am a mac user, so I thought i'd never get my hands on it (cuz fred software is for windows only)

Just did the second block of the 2010'th version..... I wish exam questions were all like this free 150....:sorry:

I am trying to correlate anything I do haha, so do u guys think that there at least some vague correlation of the percentage in these questions to the real exam?

I know what you mean... there is the FRED version of these 3 blocks. You need to download the .exe file from ECFMG website, which is what I am using.

@ the wiqed: these are the retired Qs mostly, but sometimes about 3 Qs in these 150Qs make an appearance in the real exam. Anyway, this is the most simulated thing to the exam.

I don't know. as the PDF says:

"These sample questions are illustrative of the types of questions used in the Step 1 examination. Although the questions exemplify
content on the examination, they may not reflect the content coverage on individual examinations. In the actual examination, questions
may appear randomly; they will not be grouped according to specific content. The questions will be presented one at a time in a format
designed for easy on-screen reading, including use of exhibit buttons (separate windows) for the Normal Laboratory Values Table
(included here on pages 21-22) and some pictorials. Photographs, charts, and x-ray films referred to in this booklet are not of the same
quality as the pictorials used in the actual examination. In addition, you will have the capability to adjust the brightness and contrast of
pictorials on the computer screen."

As you all have seen these test are the almost the same during 2004-10.
It's just the part of the big one :d
138 from 336, so other 228 who knows how "easy" they are.
i think that most of these sample tests are from "easy part" of actual examination.
when i was doing it i just could not recall the facts that i knew.. for ex. from Pharm or anatomy but if you are actually ready for the exam you should score here around 85-90 %. ( My exam is 6 Monthes away )
I don't think that any kind of correlation to the actual score could be made only depending on these sample ones. Compared to NBME-s these tests seem to be quite easy. so Do NBME-s and don't relay on these ones.

P.S. I have heard that some these tests were repeated on actual exam.
So to keep high motivation do these before exam you'll get 90 % !!!

for a block - 1 hour.
these tests are easier than NBME forms. so it's normal to do them in the midprep.
wish you luck

Hey,

These pdfs are great!
I just noticed -

2010 - http://www.usmle.org/pdfs/step-1/2011content_step1.pdf
2011-12 http://www.usmle.org/pdfs/step-1/2012content_step1.pdf

2010 has the 2011 content and 2011-12 has the 2012 content.

The 3 blocks at the back of both of these are exactly the same! and There's NO 2010 content pdf ?

If anyone has the 2010 pdf please let me know! Thank you

Default Score conversion

I got 70 out of 138 correct answers. What sort of a score does it apply? 150? 160? or what?
