Goljan Goljan Rapid Review Pathology

Many test takers on this forum pick Goljian rapid review instead of Kaplan's as their pathology study resource, however there indeed are some others who argue negatively about the book, such as too many details beyond the real test and hard to master or remember anything after first thorough review. Now I'm on the really tough track of pathology because I felt the same with later ones. But I'd say Goljian's book is actually a good one rather than a useless one. It's detailed so you can find most of your uncertainties explained but it's really hard to remember large part of the content even you understand the mechanism, not mention almost everything, after the first review. I want to know how you guys study with Goljian's reference book, I mean what the strategy you take while reading, and the efficient way to master the main points in that book.

Any advice is appreciated!

Not done with the Step 1, but i have read the book, took me a while, but i did. At the end of the day, its better than kaplan. But most of what you need to know is already in FA. What i did is read the book, understand the concepts, and annotated in Goljan High yields, now that i did that, i wish i actually annotated to FA. But still, now i'm using mostly FA. First chapters are essential from goljan though,

Cell inj, inflammation, repair, inmuno path, genetics, enviormental, nutrio, and neoplasia. Those are a must from goljan, the rest, you can annotate to FA. That's my point of view. But to really really get the best of FA one should read review books first like goljan.

Hundreds of threads discuss this by the way, hundreds! endless discussion, no winner.
