Show Teeth Kaplan video and organ systems

First: Appologies for terrible spelling - have dyslexia and my friends computer does not have spellcheck for some reason and I am lazy atm and not using to much time on checking myself...

In some ways I think I am about to fall in love with the Kaplan videos as they seem like a great tool in regard of clearifying things to add to KME and FA. I have just started it and started on one of my weakest parts - microbiology! However, I have noticed there is no specific videos for the diff organsystems, though there are videos on subjects within the systems (obviously both in path and phys ++). My question though is: Would these videos, KME, FA, Goljan, HY neuro, HY molecular cell be around "enough" for ensuring enough deapth within the organssystems?

In regard to time; I have it and I do not. I am in my clinical years, graduating 2013 so have time to read as the test is not tomorrow, but rather in the fall or even early winter if needed. On the other hand, I do not have time as I am in my rotations and working 7 shifts a month as well.

Do you think if I do the videos and use the books written above together with qbanks it will be enough to ensure a decent score? I am not planning acing it as I am not intending to go into a super-highly cometative field where one must have 240s to even be lightly considered.

I know step 1 is going to be my weakness as I struggle more with the preclinical memorizing part... so my hope is with this I should be able to perhaps get a 225ish?

Honest opinions are much welcome

KME = Kaplan Medical Essencials, guess u can call it the Kaplan version of FA =) It is not the lecture notes, but the short version.

I was hoping to use the videos to add extra notes in KME and FA, but not sure if it enough for the Organ systems.

It's easier to annotate the videos to the kaplan books. Using only the videos can take so long... you'd be writing tons of notes. It can work though... you can revise the topic in your own words right then and there.

Do kaplan qbank during or after your first read. It will be a "test" if your depth of knowledge is enough on the subjects. Then, adjust or supplement with additional materials accordingly. For now, in my opinion, your set of books is ok.

In regards to a decent score, it really depends on the person. For most people, one set of books (KLN or others) + uworld can put them roughly 210 above.

Read step 1 experiences in this forum so you'll have an overview of what it takes to reach a certain score.
