Exam is not about how smart you are, it's about being a good test taker.

What makes a good test taker?
-taking as much tests as you can...
And managing your anxiety...

i too feel the same...sometimes .. my exam is in 3 weeks... what i do is i take a break listen to songs or go out take some time off...but this worrying is definitely letting down my efficiency....as th exam s nearing this is the most imp. time in the preprn...so better if we stay focussed and try avoiding those feelings its only gonna do bad...

not only do you need to overcome anxiety and fear for the usmle,
but also for life.
life is too beautiful to waste on worry.
the universe is immense in that it owes you nothing. The mechanisms by which the universe conducts itself will continue to progress with or without your anxiety.
anxiety will hinder your ability to strive within these mechanisms.

Correct Answer Do an easy qbank

@ DrNick and DocSikorski: you guys brighten my day!

@ Flowerlady and doctrepntr111:

Answer an easy qbank or an easy "usmle test"!
I suggest usmleRx even if it's just *cough!*offline*cough!*.
When you see that you can answer the questions and you can recall all you've studied...
It decreases anxiety. It also really boosts your confidence.

I think there's alot of freaking out... And I know I do too.. At times I wake up from my sleep and wonder the samething.. How will I react on my exam day? Will I be able to do this? Am i really behind already? What do I do next? There's always alot of questions and worries in our heads.. Knowing that this is a big thing in our life...
I am sorry that you might see that I am posting the same thing again...
BE POSITIVE!!! We can all do this.. Start with a small qbank and go up.. However don't wait till a week before your exam to take the NBME! If you are really scared abt NBME may be take a Kaplan stimulated exam.. Or USWA1 or somfn.. Or even NBME 3 or 5 offline.. And then take NBME 7,11 or 12 online. Our mind knows much more than what we think we know. There were alot of times when we walked into a final exam thinking we might not pass or it will be hard but we did it all.. We made it this far.. Which means we can do it.. So just take them.. If not today then you have to take it one day.. If you do it now you have more time to fix the mistakes and learn your weak areas well before you go to the actual exam. There are alot of positive things than negative.. So I say! GO FOR IT!
Once the time is gone it will never come back...
Good luck!!

It depends. Right now I revise like you -- I note down the reason behind everything. Usmle is about concepts. Taking this step further also increases the chance that I remember Point A leads to Point B.

However, two months before my exam, in my final revision, I'm going to streamline my notes. Just an outline / bullets. Because at this time, I promise myself I will have memorized the principles behind these things. Also, it will be easier to review my notes this way 2 weeks before the exam.
